Privacy on this site

This site sets no cookies, and the fonts are hosted here, not at Google. Like every web server, our host Infomaniak (Switzerland) keeps technical details of each request in its logs: the address of your connection, the time and the page requested. They serve operation and the defence against abuse.

Only one question goes to horselogbook.com, our own app, when the home, logbook or prices page loads: whether the gift still has places left. As with any request, horselogbook.com sees your connection’s address; it sets no cookies and doesn’t count the request.

So that we can see how many people visit this site and where they come from, we count visits with Rybbit. Your browser loads the script for it from Rybbit (app.rybbit.io) and sends it directly which page you open – including details in the address such as utm_source –, which website you came from, language and screen size, which links to other sites you click, and with it the address of your connection. From that, Rybbit works out country and place and, together with browser and operating system, forms an identifier by which the statistics recognise whether someone comes back; the address itself is not stored, the counted visits are kept for three years. Rybbit runs on servers of Hetzner in Germany and Finland; the connection there goes through Cloudflare, a company in the USA. The script sets no cookies, but it keeps a random identifier in your browser’s storage (‘rybbit-visitor-id’). It does not count the page with the imprint and this text.

‘Design your logbook’ takes you on to horselogbook.com. The address then carries a note that you came from this site (utm_source=equiden-logbuch-ch) – that is how we see how many people find us through it – and a second one for the gift (geschenk=promo), which your browser keeps there until you open an account, for 30 days at most. What happens to your details there is in the privacy policy of Horse Logbook.
